Cloud Accounting

For many years we have encouraged a move to cloud accounting to comply with HMRC’s Making Tax Digital requirements, or simply to embrace new technologies. However, during 2020, our message has been shaped by the business effects due to COVID-19

Using online accounting software provides reassurance that your finances are always accessible to you from anywhere, at any time.

Our services are based around the software Xero. We have used Xero for many years and are amazed by its level of accessibility and ability to run reports instantly due to the system being in real-time. With bank feeds and automatic invoice functionality, using Xero can ensure you remove any manual and time-consuming tasks and help automate your finance function, whilst also complying with HMRC’s Making Tax Digital requirements. With over 850 apps to integrate, it allows you to manage all aspects of your business, whether it be credit control, cash flow reporting, or payment services.

We offer a range of cloud services to help you stay in control of your finances, all of which can be provided remotely.

Cloud Conversion

Our Cloud Conversion service offers a complete move from your current accounting system, to Xero. This service will include training for your finance team, as well as financial procedures to help put new processes in place. Implementing a move to online accounting software would ensure your business finances are always accessible, even if your team is working from home. As well as being able to access Xero remotely, you would benefit from not having to pay for costly product upgrades and multiple licenses!

Xero Health Check

Our Xero Health Check service is designed to review and analyse your Xero account. Mistakes can easily be made, and we can help ensure they get picked up and advise on how best to correct them! The Xero Health check service will enable our team at Alexander Sloan to do a complete review of your Xero account and generate a report with our findings. The report will include areas we feel could be addressed, key insights into your data, and recommendations on how to use the software efficiently.

Xero Training

Whether you are new to Xero or have used it for several years, you may require additional training to highlight new functionality or simply to refresh your memory and ensure you are using Xero most efficiently. Our Xero training sessions are designed to support your business and to ensure you understand how it will work for your business. The Xero training is delivered via Zoom and can be booked in at a time to suit you and your team, simply contact us to book.

Xero App Advisory

Whether you have been using Xero for some time, or are looking to implement apps along with Xero, we can help you along the way. Our experience in advising apps for different businesses allows us to have a sound understanding of the apps which may benefit your business. For example, if you have customers who do not pay on time, we can advise apps that carry out the credit control function for you, whilst simultaneously integrating with Xero.

Virtual Finance Director Service

Our Virtual FD service allows you to effectively outsource the finance department of your business to us. We can manage the daily finance administration, such as Bookkeeping, Payroll, Management Accounts and Credit Control,  and integrate it seamlessly into your accounts reporting procedures saving your staff time. and ensuring these processes are delivered by finance professionals.  This service runs virtually which means we would be able to access your Xero account and associated apps remotely, whilst keeping you informed along the way.

See our NEWS page and our Blog to find out more about why businesses have been drawn to the cloud due to the business effects of COVID-19.

Without Alexander Sloan’s assistance and highlighting the benefits of Xero, I would have wasted so much time and effort. What made the decision straightforward was knowing that I had the support of Alexander Sloan in the background to provide expert assistance when required.
