Glasgow Highland Society
The Society was founded in 1727 to provided funding for students of a Highland extraction or decent who are undertaking a course of academic or vocational study at an educational institution located within the “G” postcode.
Current Criteria:
In practical terms the Trustees will consider applications that meet all the following criteria.
- Students (or at least one of their Parents’) was born or brought up in one of the former Scottish counties of Argyll, Inverness, Ross and Cromarty, Sutherland or Caithness. AND
- The Student is undertaking a course of study at a recognised educational institution located within the “G” postcode
The Society gives out annual grants generally at a level of around £100 per student per annum.
