The new performance standards place great emphasis on ability of RSLs to monitor themselves and their business as effectively as possible. Consequently, the need to provide sufficient training and development to both staff and committee members is a vital part of the process. Alexander Sloan Chartered Accountants can assist with staff and committee training on areas of complexity which may not be covered by a traditional training provider. Examples of training which we have undertaken recently include the following :-

• Long term financial planning - concept, relevant factors, uses
• Risk Management - developing a strategy, factors to take into account, monitoring
• Benchmarking – selecting a peer group, choosing categories to benchmark, interpreting results
• Internal Audit – planning, links with risk management, action plans for recommendations
  

We provide personalised training at your premises for staff and committee, using PowerPoint presentations which relate to your own organisation rather than a standard course.
