We aim to combine the use of today’s technology for research, information and communication with traditional values of trust, expertise and competence.

Who are we?
The company was formed in 1999 and is independently owned so we have no vested interest in the advice we give and the investments we recommend.

Skills & Experience

- Colin Rodger has been a Financial Adviser since 1981 and an Independent Financial Adviser since 1988, when the Financial Services Act came into effect.

- He is a founder member of Alexander Sloan Financial Planning Ltd and a Director of the company.

- He has built up many years' expertise in advising on financial planning issues.

- He is approved by the FSA to give financial advice and has been issued with a Statement of Professional Standing by the Personal Finance Society of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). Colin has passed the required examinations and achieved the level of attainment to gain a Diploma in Financial Planning.

Main Duties & Other

- Advising a wide portfolio of clients on pensions, investments and financial planning issues.

- Investment research compliance with FSA rules.

- Colin contributes regularly to a range of publications including Financial Adviser newspaper, and his opinion if frequently sought on pension and investment matters.

Experience & Duties

- Nicole has 11 years experience working in the financial sector. She has worked for Alexander Sloan Financial Planning Ltd since September 2007, as Senior Financial Services Administrator.

- Her duties involve all aspects of running the Glasgow Office.

- Ensuring all client records are properly maintained.

- Assisting in the co-ordination and implementation of all group pensions.

- Co-ordinating meetings and training.

Andrew McBean
Director

Andy is senior partner of Alexander Sloan, Chartered Accountants and is chairman of Alexander Sloan Financial Planning Ltd.

Mark Mulholland
Director

Mark is a partner of Alexander Sloan and is Alexander Sloan Financial Planning Ltd’s compliance officer.
